Seth Coons — Owner/Dance Instructor

What Seth is most proud of is his relationships he has developed with his students as a teacher. They are some of the most treasured relationships in his life. The experience of teaching has made him a happier and healthier individual.

Seth has earned a number of prestigious teaching awards including being a top 20 teacher within the Arthur Murray organization multiple times, earning multiple top teacher awards, and several teacher of excellence awards.

Seth started ballroom dancing at age 15 on his high school ballroom team in Utah. He progressed quickly and was able place in Youth Rhythm at Nationals as well as help his formation team make National Finals as a Latin Captain of the formation. Seth competed as a Junior, Youth, and Amateur in 3 of the major 4 styles including Rhythm, Latin, and Smooth. His dance skills earned him a scholarship to Southern Utah University where he danced on their tour team before transferring to BYU-Idaho. After a successful internship, through the BYU-Idaho dance program, Seth was hired as a professional dance instructor at Arthur Murray Ventura January 2013.

As a professional dance competitor Seth competed 3 out of the 4 major styles: Rhythm, Smooth, and Standard making several finals. In Pro/Am Seth competed in all 4 major styles and all of the club styles including Country, Argentine Tango, Club Swing, and Club Latin. Making and winning several national and world finals with his students. He currently competes professional Smooth, and continues to compete Pro/Am with his students.
